No Pain No Gain Ankle Sprain

At the Olympics I watched Jack “the Flash” Jackson, the famous high jumper, go over a height of 7 feet, land awkwardly, and badly sprain his ankle. He sat there depressed and dejected because he realized that he had no chance of winning a medal now. It was all up to me to help him. But, what could I possibly do? Just then a Chinese shot putter's metal ball hit me on my noggin and knocked a featherbrained idea into it.

So I made my way over to Jack “the Flash” and begged him to trust me. “Close your eyes and swallow; then something that will help you win will follow.”

Hesitating at first, he looked into my eyes and replied, “You have a trustworthy face,” then gulped it down. Minutes later, he hobbled over to take his turn at the height of 7 ft. 2 in. After he cleared it with ease, he went on to clear 7 ft. 6 in., then 7 ft. 9 in., and finally 8 feet. He won the Gold Medal for the high jump but that didn't stop him.

Next, he hobbled over to the pole-vaulting pit and cleared 21 ft. 3 in. It was a record beyond all records. He won two Gold Medals at the Olympics that day—one for high jumping and one for pole vaulting without a pole. He couldn't stop thanking me, but at the same time he couldn't stand still. Jumping up and down three feet off the ground he was acting like a cricket, a bunny rabbit, and a kangaroo all in one.

Happy about winning, yet upset with me, he demanded to know what I had given him to make him jump that high. I told him, 100 Mexican Jumping Beans !

Months later, he still couldn't stop jumping. It seems the beans entered his blood stream and traveled to his heart, brain, fingers, and toes and where else nobody knows. He was certainly a sight to see with all his body parts going three feet in every direction.

Because Jack “the Flash” always won, he was banned from all future Olympic jumping events. But as humans say, when God closes one door, He always leaves a window open. Jack eventually became a world-wrestling champion cuz no one could ever pin all his body parts down for the count of three.
