Hey Hey Ursula Give It Away

When I first met Ursula, I thought she was a street person. But no, she was a possessions re-distributor. She redistributed belongings to their rightful owners. Somehow she knew through instinct who the rightful owner was, and she was going to make sure that they got it back. Ursula was an elderly, harmless, and trustworthy-looking woman. Most likely that's why no one tried to stop her.

She walked up to total strangers and smelled them from head to toe. Then she took from them any object, piece of clothing, and even money from their wallets or purses that she thought would better serve someone else. When I first saw her doing this, I wondered why no one had her arrested. But they just let her continue without a peep of resistance.

“Why don't people try to stop you?” I asked her.

Ursula calmly said, “They can't because in their hearts they really don't want to.” I didn't understand what she meant by that, but I could see that her smile alone melted all those that doubted her. Then I noticed she was taking some expensive jewelry from a super rich woman who just stepped out of a Rolls Royce. Five raggedy young kids surrounded Ursula and held on tightly to her dress. The kids were aware of what she was doing but the rich lady was not. It was as if Ursula were invisible to all but the kids and me.

I called out to Ursula, “Why is that rich woman looking happy and relieved that you're taking all her jewelry and money? Shouldn't she be angry and screaming for the police?”

“Yes Dum Dum, she is relieved. Her jewelry was weighing down heavily on her guilt-ridden soul. She would gladly part with them just to free herself from their materialistic control.”

Ursula left the rich woman and glided like the angel that she probably was over to the homeless-looking mother of five kids. Next, she magically converted the woman's jewelry into money and gave it to the mother. Waving goodbye to me she said, “Stay pure of heart Dum Dum. Stay just as pure and innocent as you are and continue with your glorious mission.” Then, Poof … she vanished like a vision!
