This 3D cartoon movie is about Big Johnny, a mischievous bubble gum thief. He steals gum from stores in the city, puts them in a van, and speeds off. Because he wears so many costumes, nobody really knows what he looks like. His disguises range from dressing up as a cop, a lady wrestler, a doctor, and so many more.

One day the police catch him in the act. But before they can grab him, Big Johnny jumps into his van and off he goes. Instantly, the police cars and motor­cycles pursue him. But as they start to close in on him, he stuffs a bunch of gum in his mouth, chews it, and throws it behind him. The police cars' rubber tires get stuck in the gum and are completely immobilized. Pretty soon there are no more vehicles chasing him. The Commissioner calls for helicopters to pursue him. Johnny chews gum again and makes big bubbles that fly up and clog up their chopper engines. They are forced to land before they crash and must stop their pursing maneuvers.

In the last scene we see Big Johnny waking up laughing in his room which is filled to the ceiling with bubble gum. He then stuffs all the gum in his mouth, chews it, and blows a humungous bubble. The bubble balloons up larger and larger and before you know it, the entire planet is surrounded by it. The bubble, with the world inside, floats into space and stops in front of Heaven's Gate. Johnny steps out and announces to the Guardian, “The world is safe and sound. What do I do next?”
