“My name is Ditsy. I'm the doctor's wife” a smiley faced tall blonde tapped me on the shoulder. “Why do they call you Ditsy?” I wondered. “I don't know,” she sang in an off-key voice. Wow-wow-wee, was I more than impressed. “Maybe it's because of this or maybe it's because of that. My real name is Dolly, but everyone calls me Ditsy. Anyway I change my name every day. Who knows what it's going to be tomorrow.” She kept on singing off-key even more than I did. “Why do you do that?” thinking it was a fun thing to do. “What did you change your name to today?” She jumped in, “It's always Ditsy, but I spell it differently every day. One day it's with two D's (DDitsy), another day it could be with three i's (Diiitsy), or the next day my name could be with six D's, nine i's and five y's (DDDDDDiiiiiiiiitsyyyyy). It might even be with 387 t's. I never know how I'm going to spell it until I wake up that morning.” Ditsy Din-a-Ling was funny and made a lot of uncommon dodosense. She could be a great asset to me on my birdbrain mission because of her incredible name spelling, misspelling, and mathematical skills. But best of all, because of her off-key singing musical talent. |
