Transforming Global Warming

I had no idea what Global Warming was until Lilly Lollipop explained it to me. The ice was melting in the North and South Poles, she said, and it could eventually drown us all.

Now that's serious, but how could I solve such an impossible problem. Well, I did it by a freak accident. Slipping on an ice cube that someone had dropped, I knocked myself sillier than I already was. While on the floor, I looked at the melting ice cube and faster than you can say the Polar Ice Caps are melting, it dawned on me how it could be resolved. All we have to do is cool off the earth when she gets too hot. When you're steaming, what do you do? You take a shower, jump in the lake, walk in the shade, drink a cold beverage, or turn on the air conditioning. Well, Mother Nature can't do any of that, so we have to do it for her. Here are a just few suggestions:

Make Nice and Bring on the Ice:

•  Make a weekly trip to the North or South Pole and deposit one ice cube each time you go.

•  We can replace the ice faster than it melts, but it takes a total global commitment by everyone.

•  If six billion people deposited just one ice cube a week, we could stop global warming. Just one, that's all it takes. Together we can do it.

•  Parents, bring the kids. Let them beat the heat and get an ice-cold polar treat.

•  But please don't bring more than one ice cube. We don't want to bring on another Ice Age, now do we?

Here Are a Few More Dodo Ideas:

•  Sit in one place for at least 12 hours a day. Don't move a muscle. Keep cool. The melting polar ice caps will thank each and every fool.

•  If you have to go anywhere outside the house, carry along with you a battery-operated fan. Cool off Mother Earth by fanning her.

•  Sing songs with cooling lyrics like “Jingle Bells,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Frosty the Snowman,” and so on.

•  Keep your refrigerator doors open and run the air conditioning with all the windows opened wide 24/7.

•  Look at pictures with snow and ice in them. That'll cool you off first, which in turn will then cool off our planet.

So that's it. If we do all of the above, we'll stop Global Warming right in its tracks so it never comes back.
